Mesa Verde National Park preserves the most famous cliff dwellings in America, but walking a path less traveled will bring one to the equally stunning but far less-visited Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Surrounded by protected Gila National Forest, this area contains the still-intact dwellings of the ancient Mogollon people who lived in the region in the 13th century. Preserving the site allows scientists and researchers to understand how the Mogollon peoples built rooms, crafted pottery, and raised children in the cliff dwellings. To celebrate the paths less traveled in national monuments (these places receive far fewer visitors than National Parks), Anderson Design Group poster artists hand-rendered an original illustration in the fashion of vintage poster art and travel art. This retro design and wilderness art is available as a poster, print, canvas, mini canvas, metal sign, notecard, or postcard.
